The Prophet ﷺ said, "Paradise and Hell disputed with one another.Hell said, 'I have been favored with the arrogant and the tyrannical.'Paradise said, 'What is the matter with me that none enter me except the weak and lowly among people?'Allah said to Paradise, 'You are My mercy, through you I show mercy to whomever I will of My servants.'And He said to Hell, 'You are only My punishment, through you I punish whomever I will of My servants. Each of you shall have its fill.'As for Hell, it will not be filled until He places His foot upon it, whereupon it will say, 'Enough, enough, enough.' At that point it will be filled and its parts will be folded together, and Allah
does not wrong any of His creation. As for Paradise, Allah
will create new beings for it."
Bukhari related it in the tafsir (4850) and Muslim in Paradise, Its Bliss and Its People (2848:36), both of them through Abdul-Razzaq, who said, Mamar narrated to us, from Hammam bin Munabbih, from Abu Hurairah, who said, and then he related it. The wording given is Bukhari's, and Muslim's wording is similar.
