I saw the Prophet ﷺ, and I ate bread and meat with him, or he said tharid. I asked him, "Did the Prophet ﷺ seek forgiveness for you?"He replied, "Yes, and for you as well." Then he recited this verse, "And ask forgiveness for your sin and for the believing men and believing women" [Muhammad 47:19].He said, "Then I went around behind him and looked at the seal of prophethood between his shoulders…" and so the hadith continues.
رأيت النبي ﷺ، وأكلت معه خبزا ولحما- أو قال: ثريدا- قال: فقلت له: أستغفر لك النبي ﷺ؟ قال: نعم ولك، ثم تلا هذه الآية: {واستغفر لذنبك وللمؤمنين والمؤمنات} قال: ثم درت خلفه، فنظرت إلى خاتم النبوة بين كتفيه… الحديث.
