The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Might is His lower garment, and pride is His cloak. Whoever contends with Me over them, I will punish him."
قال رسول الله ﷺ العز إزاره، والكبرياء رداؤه، فمن ينازعني عذبته.
Muslim narrated it in the chapter on righteousness and maintaining ties of kinship (2620), from Ahmad bin Yusuf Azdi, who said, Umar bin Hafs bin Ghiyath narrated to us, he said, My father narrated to us, he said, Amash narrated to us, he said, Abu Ishaq narrated to us, from Abu Muslim Aghar, that he narrated to him from Abu Saeed Khudri and Abu Hurairah, who said, and then they mentioned it.This surah was named "Jathiyah" because of Allah's saying, "And you will see every nation kneeling" [Jathiyah 45:28]. Jathiyah comes from the verb jatha, yajthu, juthuwwan and juthiyyan, meaning to sit on one's knees, or to stand on the tips of one's toes. Allah described people on the Day of Resurrection as kneeling, out of fear, terror, and while awaiting Allah's judgment.
