The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah says, 'The son of Adam offends Me when he says, How wretched is time! Let none of you say, How wretched is time, for I am Time. I alternate its night and its day, and when I wish, I will seize them both.'"
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Words and Other Matters Related to Manners (2246:3), from Abd bin Humayd, who said, Abdul-Razzaq told us, Mamar told us, from Zuhri, from Ibn Musayab, from Abu Hurairah, who said, and then he mentioned it.
