The Messenger of Allah ﷺ met him while he was in a state of major ritual impurity, so he slipped away from him, performed the ritual bath, then came back and said, "I was in a state of major impurity."The Prophet ﷺ said, "The Muslim does not become impure."
أن رسول الله ﷺ لقيه وهو جنب، فحاد عنه، فاغتسل، ثم جاء فقال: كنت جنبا، قال ﷺ: إن المسلم لا ينجس.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Menstruation (372), from Abu Bakr bin Abu Shayba and Abu Kurayb, who said, Waki narrated to us, from Masaar, from Wasil, from Abu Waail, from Huzaifa, and he mentioned the hadith.
