When this verse was revealed, "Then say, 'Come, let us call our sons and your sons'" [Al Imran 3:61], the Messenger of Allah ﷺ called Ali, Fatimah, Hasan, and Husayn, and said, "O Allah, these are my family."
لما نزلت هذه الآية: {فقل تعالوا ندع أبناءنا وأبناءكم}[آل عمران: ٦١] دعا رسول الله ﷺ عليا وفاطمة وحسنا وحسينا فقال: اللهم هؤلاء أهلي.
Muslim narrated it in the Virtues of the Companions (2404:32) through several routes from Hatim bin Ismail, from Bukayr bin Mismar, from Amir bin Saad bin Abu Waqqas, from his father, who said, "Muawiya ordered..." and he mentioned it in a long hadith.
