The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Many a disheveled person, turned away at doors, would have his oath fulfilled by Allah if he were to swear by Him."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: رب أشعث مدفوع بالأبواب لو أقسم على الله لأبره.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Righteousness and Kinship Ties (2622), on the authority of Saeed bin Saeed, who said, Hafs bin Maysara told me, on the authority of Ala bin Abdul-Rahman, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, who related it.
