The Messenger of Allah ﷺ informed us that Luqman the Wise used to say, "When Allah
is entrusted with something, He preserves it."
أخبرنا رسول الله ﷺ: أن لقمان الحكيم عليه السلام كان يقول: إن الله عز وجل إذا استودع شيئا حفظه.
Ahmad (5605-5606) and Nasai in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla (517-518) both narrated it through the route of Sufyan Thawri, from Nahshal bin Mujammi, from Qazaah, from Ibn Umar, who mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is hasan on account of Nahshal bin Mujammi, for he is hasan al-hadith.His saying, "O my son, do not commit shirk against Allah, for shirk is indeed a great wrong" [Luqman 31:13].
