Abu Namla reported,

While he was sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and a man from the Jews was present, a funeral procession passed by. The Jew said, "Muhammad, does this corpse speak?"The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Allah knows best."The Jew said, "It does speak."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "Whatever the People of the Book tell you, neither believe them nor disbelieve them. Say, 'We believe in Allah and His messengers.' If it is false, you will not have confirmed it, and if it is true, you will not have denied it."
