A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "So-and-so prays at night, but when morning comes he steals."The Prophet ﷺ replied, "What you mention will soon restrain him."
جاء رجل إلى النبي ﷺ فقال: إن فلانا يصلي بالليل فإذا أصبح سرق قال: إنه سينهاه ما تقول.
Ahmad (9778) and Bazzar in Kashf Astar (720) narrated it, and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (2560), all of them through Amash, who said, "I think it was Abu Salih," from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih, and the discussion of it has already been given in detail in the Book of Prayer.
