The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I know the last person to enter Paradise from among its people, and the last to leave Hell from among its people. A man will be brought forward on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said, 'Present to him his minor sins and set aside his major ones.' So his minor sins will be presented to him, and it will be said, 'On such and such a day you did such and such, and on such and such a day you did such and such.' He will say, 'Yes,' unable to deny it, all the while dreading that his major sins will be brought before him. Then it will be said to him, 'In place of every evil deed you have a good deed.' He will say, 'My Lord, I have done things that I do not see here.'"I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ laugh until his back teeth showed.
قال رسول الله ﷺ: إني لأعلم آخر أهل الجنة دخولا الجنة، وآخر أهل النار خروجا منها. رجل يؤتى به يوم القيامة، فيقال: اعرضوا عليه صغار ذنوبه، وارفعوا عنه كبارها، فتعرض عليه صغار ذنوبه، فيقال: عملت يوم كذا وكذا، كذا وكذا. وعملت يوم كذا وكذا، كذا وكذا، فيقول: نعم، لا يستطيع أن ينكر وهو مشفق من كبار ذنوبه أن تعرض عليه، فيقال له: فإن لك مكان كل سيئة حسنة، فيقول: رب قد عملت أشياء لا أراها ههنا. فلقد رأيت رسول الله ﷺ ضحك حتى بدت نواجذه.
Muslim narrated it in the book of Iman (190), from Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Numayr, who said, my father narrated to us, Amash narrated to us, from Marur bin Suwayd, from Abu Dharr, who said, then he mentioned it.
