Ayesha reported,

Abu Bakr al-Siddiq, who used to support Mistah bin Uthatha because of his kinship and poverty, said, "By Allah, I will never spend anything on Mistah again after what he said about Ayesha."Then Allah revealed, "And let not those of virtue among you and wealth swear not to give to their relatives" up to His saying "and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful" [Nur 24:22].Abu Bakr al-Siddiq said, "Yes, by Allah, I would love for Allah to forgive me." So he resumed the support he had been giving Mistah and said, "By Allah, I will never withhold it from him." …the rest of the hadith.
