Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

Abu Sufyan bin Harb came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "Muhammad, I implore you by Allah and by the ties of kinship. We have been reduced to eating ilhiz," meaning camel fur mixed with blood. So Allah revealed, "And We had already seized them with punishment, but they did not submit to their Lord, nor do they humble themselves" [Muminun 23:76].

عن ابن عباس قال

جاء أبو سفيان بن حرب إلى النبي ﷺ، فقال: يا محمد! أنشدك الله والرحم، قد أكلنا العلهز- يعني الوبر والدم- فأنزل الله عز وجل: {ولقد أخذنهم بالعذاب فما استكانوا لربهم وما يتضرعون}
