The Prophet ﷺ said, "People must stop boasting about their forefathers who have died, for they are nothing but coals of Hell, or else they will become more lowly before Allah than the dung beetle that rolls filth with its nose. Allah has removed from you the arrogance of the Days of Ignorance and its boasting about ancestors. A person is either a pious believer or a wretched sinner. All people are the children of Adam, and Adam was created from dust."
Tirmidhi (3955) and Ahmad (10781) both narrated it through the route of Abu Amir Aqadi, Abdul-Malik bin Amr, who said, Hisham bin Saad narrated to us, from Saeed bin Abu Saeed Maqburi, from Abu Hurairah, and he related it.Its chain is hasan because of Hisham bin Saad Madani, who is Abu Abbad, also called Abu Saeed Qurashi. There is disagreement about him, but his hadith is hasan. Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan hadith."As for His saying, "Then We made him a drop in a firm resting place. Then We made the drop into a clinging clot, and We made the clot into a lump of flesh, and We made the lump of flesh into bones, and We clothed the bones with flesh, then We produced him as another creation. So blessed is Allah, the best of creators" [Muminun 23:13–14]
