The Prophet ﷺ sacrificed two white rams with black markings. I saw him placing his foot on their sides, pronouncing the name of Allah and saying the takbir, then he slaughtered them with his own hand.
ضحى النبي ﷺ بكبشين أملحين، فرأيته واضعا قدمه على صفاحهما يسمي ويكبر، فذبحهما بيده.
Bukhari narrated it in the Chapter on Sacrifices (5558), and Muslim in the Chapter on Sacrifices (18:1966), both of them through Shuba, who said, Qatada narrated to us, from Anas, who said, and he related it. The wording given is Bukhari's, and Muslim's wording is similar.
