The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are no days greater in the sight of Allah, nor in which deeds are more beloved to Allah, than these days," meaning the ten days. "So increase in them the saying of la ilaha illa Allah and al-hamdu lillah."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: ما من أيام أعظم عند الله، ولا العمل فيهن أحب إلى الله من هذه الأيام، فأكثروا فيها من التهليل والتحميد يعني أيام العشر.
It was narrated by Abu Awana in his Musnad (3024), from Abu Yahya Abdullah bin Ahmad bin Abu Maysara, who said, we were told by Abdul-Hameed bin Ghazwan Basri, who said, we were told by Abu Awana, from Musa bin Abu Ayesha, from Mujahid, from Ibn Abbas, and he related it. Its chain of transmission is sahih, and Musa bin Abu Ayesha is trustworthy, one of the narrators found in all the major collections.It was also narrated by Ahmad (5446) and Abd bin Humayd (807), both from the hadith of Abu Awana, who said, we were told by Yazid bin Abu Ziyad, from Mujahid, with the same wording, similarly. Yazid bin Abu Ziyad is the Hashimi, their freed client, and he is daif, but he was corroborated in the first chain of transmission.As for the words "So eat from them" [Hajj 22:28], this means, eat from the sacrificial animals and the offerings. It has been established in the Sahih that when the Prophet ﷺ slaughtered his sacrificial animal, he ordered that a piece be taken from each camel, which was then cooked, and he ate from its meat and drank from its broth.
