The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "May Allah have mercy on a man who rises during the night to pray and wakes his wife so that she may pray, and if she refuses, he sprinkles water on her face. And may Allah have mercy on a woman who rises during the night to pray and wakes her husband so that he may pray, and if he refuses, she sprinkles water on his face."
Abu Dawud (1308), Nasai (1610), and Ibn Majah (1336) all narrated it through Yahya bin Saeed, from Ibn Ajlan, who said, "Qaqa bin Hakeem narrated to me, from Abu Salih, from Abu Hurairah," and he related it.Its chain is hasan because of Muhammad bin Ajlan, for he is truthful and his hadith is good.
