The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "My heirs shall not divide a single dinar. Whatever I leave behind, after providing for my wives and the wages of my workers, is charity."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: لا يقسم ورثتي دنانير، ما تركت بعد نفقة نسائي ومؤونة عاملي فهو صدقة.
Malik narrated it in "Speech, Backbiting, and Piety" (28), from Abu Zinad, from Araj, from Abu Hurairah, and mentioned it. Bukhari narrated it in "Inheritance" (6729), and Muslim in "Jihad and Expeditions" (1760), both through this same route.
