I asked my father about the verse "Say, shall we inform you of the greatest losers in their deeds?" [Kahf 18:103]. I said, "Are they the Haruriyyah?"He replied, "No, they are the Jews and the Christians. As for the Jews, they denied Muhammad ﷺ. As for the Christians, they disbelieved in Paradise, saying that there is neither food nor drink in it. The Haruriyyah are those who break the covenant of Allah after its binding."Saad used to call them the transgressors.
سألت أبي {قل هل ننبئكم بالأخسرين أعملا} هم الحرورية؟ قال: لا، هم اليهود والنصارى، أما اليهود فكذبوا محمد ﷺ، وأما النصارى فكفروا بالجنة، وقالوا: لا طعام فيها ولا شراب. والحرورية الذين ينقضون عهد الله من ميثاقه. وكان سعد يسميهم الفاسقين.
Bukhari narrated it in the tafsir (4728) from Muhammad bin Bashshar, who said, Muhammad bin Jafar narrated to us, who said, Shuba narrated to us, from Amr bin Mura, from Musab bin Saad, who said, and then he mentioned it.His words, "the Haruriyyah" (with a fatha on the ha and a damma on the ra) is a reference to Harura, the village from which the Kharijites began their rebellion against Ali bin Abu Talib.
