The Prophet ﷺ entered Mecca on the day of the Conquest, and around the Kaaba there were three hundred and sixty idols. He began striking them with a stick in his hand, saying, "And say, Truth has come and falsehood has vanished. Indeed, falsehood is ever bound to vanish" [Isra 17:81]. "Say, the truth has come, and falsehood can neither originate anything nor restore it" [Saba 34:49].
دخل النبي ﷺ مكة يوم الفتح وحول البيت ستون وثلاثمائة نصب، فجعل يطعنها بعود في يده، ويقول: {وقل جاء الحق وزهق الباطل إن البطل كان زهوقا}. {قل جاء الحق وما يبدئ البطل وما يعيد} [سبأ: ٤٩].
Bukhari narrated it in the tafsir (4720), and Muslim in jihad and expeditions (1781), both through Sufyan bin Uyayna, from Ibn Abu Najeeh, from Mujahid, from Abu Muamar, from Abdullah bin Masud, who said, then he narrated it.
