He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Blessed is the one who has been guided to Islam, whose livelihood is just enough, and who is content with it."
أنه سمع رسول الله ﷺ يقول: طوبى لمن هدي إلى الإسلام، وكان عيشه كفافا وقنع.
Reported by Tirmidhi (2349) and Ahmad (23944), and Ibn Hibban (705) and Hakim (1/34-35) both graded it sahih, all of them from the hadith of Abu Abdul-Rahman Abdullah bin Yazid Muqri, who said, Haywa bin Shurayh informed us, Abu Hani Khawlani informed me, that Abu Ali Amr bin Malik Janabi told him, on the authority of Fadala bin Ubayd, and he mentioned it.Tirmidhi said, "Hasan sahih." Hakim said, "Sahih according to the criterion of Muslim."I say, its chain of transmission is hasan because of Abu Hani, who is Humayd bin Hani, for he is hasan al-hadith.And His saying, "We will surely reward them according to the best of what they used to do" [Nahl 16:97]
