Anas reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever wishes to have his provision expanded and his lifespan extended should maintain ties with his relatives."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: من أحب أن يبسط له في رزقه، وينسأ له في أثره فليصل رحمه.
Bukhari related it in the Book of Manners (5986), and Muslim in the Book of Righteousness and Maintaining Ties of Kinship (2557), both through chains from Ibn Shihab, from Anas bin Malik, and he mentioned it.There are other hadiths on this same subject mentioned in their respective places. It has also been reported through many chains that nothing repels divine decree except supplication, and the discussion of this is elaborated in the chapter on faith in divine decree.
