Abu Hurairah reported,

The Prophet ﷺ commented on the verse "Ask him about the case of the women who cut their hands" [Yusuf 12:50]. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Had it been me, I would have hastened to accept the offer and would not have sought an excuse."
