He heard Ibn Abbas reciting, "Surely they fold their breasts" [Hud 11:5].The narrator said, "I asked him about this verse," and Ibn Abbas explained, "There were people who felt shy about relieving themselves, lest they be exposed to the sky, and about having relations with their wives, lest they be exposed to the sky. So this was revealed concerning them."Another narration states, "A man would have relations with his wife and feel ashamed, or relieve himself and feel ashamed, so there was revealed, 'Surely they fold their breasts' [Hud 11:5]."
