The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Among the servants of Allah are servants whom even the prophets and martyrs envy."Someone asked, "Who are they, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "They are people who loved one another for the sake of Allah, without any wealth or kinship between them. Their faces are light, upon pulpits of light. They will not fear when others fear, nor grieve when others grieve."Then he recited this verse, "Indeed, the allies of Allah will have no fear, nor will they grieve" [Yunus 10:62].
Nasai narrated it in al-Kubra (11172), Ibn Jareer in his Tafsir (12/211), and Bayhaqi in Shuab al-Iman (8584), all of them from the hadith of Muhammad bin Fudayl, from his father, from Umara bin Qaqa, from Abu Zura, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it. Its isnad is hasan because of Muhammad bin Fudayl, for he is hasan al-hadith.However, Abu Yaala narrated it (61110) - and from him Ibn Hibban (1/390, the Hawt copy) - it is not found in the Shuayb copy - by the route of Muhammad bin Fudayl, from Umara bin Qaqa, with the same wording. But he did not mention in it "from his father." Either this was dropped by the copyist, or Muhammad bin Fudayl used to narrate from his father at first, then it became possible for him to hear directly from Umara bin Qaqa, who was one of his teachers.Bayhaqi found fault with the hadith of Abu Hurairah, saying, "This is a mistake, and what is preserved is from Abu Zura, from Umar, from Umar bin Khattab."I say, it is not unlikely that Abu Zura heard the hadith from Umar bin Khattab just as he also heard it from Abu Hurairah, and both routes are preserved.
