Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

A woman would circumambulate the House while naked, saying, "Who will lend me a garment to use as covering?" She would place it over her private parts and say, "Today some of it or all of it may show, but whatever shows of it, I do not make it lawful." Then this verse was revealed, "Take your adornment at every place of prayer" [Araf 7:31].

عن ابن عباس قال

كانت المرأة تطوف بالبيت وهي عريانة، فتقول: من يعيرني تطوافا؟ تجعله على فرجها، وتقول: اليوم يبدو بعضه أو كله فما بدا منه فلا أحله فنزلت هذه الآية: {خذوا زينتكم عند كل مسجد}
