Filtan bin Asim reported,

We were with the Prophet ﷺ when revelation came down upon him. Whenever revelation descended upon him, his gaze would become fixed, his eyes wide open, and his hearing and heart would be wholly given to what was coming to him from Allah. The narrator said, "We could recognize this state in him."The Prophet ﷺ then said to the scribe, "Write, 'Not equal are those believers who sit at home and those who strive in the cause of Allah' [Nisa 4:95]."The blind man stood up and said, "Messenger of Allah, what is our fault?"We said to the blind man, "Revelation is descending upon the Prophet ﷺ," and he became afraid that something concerning his case was being revealed. He remained standing, saying, "I seek refuge in Allah from the anger of the Messenger of Allah."Then the Prophet ﷺ said, "Write, 'except those who have an injury' [Nisa 4:95]."

His saying, "Not equal are those believers who sit at home, other than those with disabilities, and the mujahideen who strive in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives. Allah has preferred the mujahideen who strive with their wealth and their lives over those who sit by a degree, and to all Allah has promised the best reward, and Allah has preferred the mujahideen over those who sit with a great reward"
