Anas bin Malik reported,

Anas reported that Abu Talha was the wealthiest of the Ansar in Medina in terms of date palms, and the most beloved of his properties to him was Bayruha, which faced the mosque. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to enter it and drink from its sweet water.Anas said, when this verse was revealed, "You will never attain righteousness until you spend from what you love" [Al Imran 3:92], Abu Talha went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Messenger of Allah, Allah تبارك وتعالى says, 'You will never attain righteousness until you spend from what you love' [Al Imran 3:92], and the most beloved of my properties to me is Bayruha. It is now a charity for the sake of Allah, and I hope for its reward and its store with Allah. So place it, Messenger of Allah, wherever you wish."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Well done! That is a profitable property, that is a profitable property. I have heard what you said about it, and I think you should give it to your relatives."Abu Talha replied, "I will do so, Messenger of Allah."So Abu Talha distributed it among his relatives and his cousins.
