Abu Musa Ashari reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood among us and mentioned four matters. Allah does not sleep, nor does it befit Him to sleep. He raises the scales and lowers them. The deeds of the day are raised up to Him at night, and the deeds of the night are raised up to Him during the day.

قام فينا رسول الله ﷺ بأربع: إن الله لا ينام، ولا ينبغي له أن ينام، يرفع القسط ويخفضه، ويرفع إليه عمل النهار بالليل، وعمل الليل بالنهار.

His saying, "Allah, there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not"
