The Prophet ﷺ said on the day of the Trench, "They kept us from the middle prayer until the sun set. May Allah fill their graves and their houses," or he said "their bellies," "with fire."
أن النبي ﷺ قال يوم الخندق: حبسونا عن صلاة الوسطى حتى غابت الشمس، ملأ الله قبورهم وبيوتهم- أو أجوافهم- نارا.
Bukhari related it in tafsir (4533), and Muslim in the book of mosques (627:202), both from the hadith of Hisham (bin Hassan Qurdusi), from Muhammad (bin Sirin), from Ubayda (Sulaymani), from Ali, and he mentioned it, and the wording is Bukhari's. Muslim's wording does not include, "or their bellies."
