Abu Hurairah reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to Ubayy bin Kaab and called, "Ubayy!" while Ubayy was praying. Ubayy turned toward him but did not answer. He shortened his prayer, then went over to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, "Peace be upon you, Messenger of Allah."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ replied, "And upon you be peace. What kept you from answering me when I called you, Ubayy?"Ubayy said, "Messenger of Allah, I was in prayer."He asked, "Did you not find among what has been revealed to me, 'Respond to Allah and to the Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life' [Anfal 8:24]?"Ubayy said, "Yes indeed, and I will not do it again, Allah willing."He said, "Would you like me to teach you a surah the like of which has not been sent down in the Torah, nor in the Gospel, nor in the Psalms, nor in the Furqan?"Ubayy said, "Yes, Messenger of Allah."The Messenger of Allah ﷺ asked, "How do you recite in prayer?"So Ubayy recited the Mother of the Quran.The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said, "By the One in whose hand is my soul, nothing like it has been sent down in the Torah, nor in the Gospel, nor in the Psalms, nor in the Furqan. It is the seven oft-repeated verses and the Mighty Quran which I have been given."

عن أبي هريرة

أن رسول الله ﷺ خرج على أبي بن كعب، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: يا أبي وهو يصلي فالتفت أبي ولم يجبه، وصلى أبي فخفف، ثم انصرف إلى رسول الله ﷺ فقال: السلام عليك يا رسول الله، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: وعليك السلام، ما منعك يا أبي أن تجيبني إذ دعوتك. فقال: يا رسول الله إني كنت في الصلاة، قال: أفلم تجد فيما أوحي إلي أن {استجيبوا لله والرسول إذا دعاكم لما يحييكم} [الأنفال: ٢٤] قال: بلى، ولا أعود إن شاء الله قال: أتحب أن أعلمك سورة لم ينزل في التوراة ولا في الإنجيل ولا في الزبور ولا الفرقان مثلها؟ قال: نعم يا رسول الله، قال رسول الله ﷺ: كيف تقرأ في الصلاة؟ قال: فقرأ أم القرآن، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: والذي نفسي بيده ما أنزلت في التوراة ولا في الإنجيل ولا في الزبور ولا في الفرقان مثلها، وإنها سبع من المثاني والقرآن العظيم الذي أعطيته.
