The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I have left among you something which, if you hold fast to it, you will never go astray after me, the Book of Allah. You will be asked about me, so what will you say?"They replied, "We bear witness that you have conveyed the message, fulfilled your trust, and given sincere counsel."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: قد تركت فيكم ما لن تضلوا بعده إن اعتصمتم به كتاب الله، وأنتم تسألون عني، فما أنتم قائلون؟ قالوا: نشهد أنك قد بلغت وأديت ونصحت.
Reported by Muslim in the Book of Hajj (1218: 147) through several routes from Hatim bin Ismail Madani, from Jafar bin Muhammad, from his father, from Jabir bin Abdullah, who narrated it at length regarding the account of the Prophet's ﷺ Hajj.
