Nafi bin Jubayr bin Mutim asked me, "In how many days do you complete the Quran?"I replied, "I do not divide it into set portions."Nafi said to me, "Do not say, 'I do not divide it into set portions,' for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'I have read a portion of the Quran.'"He thought that he mentioned this on the authority of Mughira bin Shuba.
سألني نافع بن جبير بن مطعم، فقال لي: في كم تقرأ القرآن؟ فقلت: ما أحزبه، فقال لي نافع: لا تقل: ما أحذبه، فإن رسول الله ﷺ قال: قرأت جزءا من القرآن قال: حسب أنه ذكره عن المغيرة بن شعبة.
Abu Dawud (1392) narrated it from Muhammad bin Yahya bin Faris, who said, Ibn Abu Maryam (that is, Saeed bin Hakam) informed us, who said, Yahya bin Ayub informed us, from Ibn Hadi, who said, and then he related it.Its chain is hasan because of Yahya bin Ayub Ghafiqi Misri, for his hadith is hasan.
