Abu Hurairah reported,

I said, "Messenger of Allah, I hear many hadiths from you, but I forget them."He said, "Spread out your cloak."So I spread it out. He scooped with both his hands and then said, "Gather it up."So I gathered it up, and I never forgot anything after that.

عن أبي هريرة، قال

قلت يا رسول الله، إني أسمع منك حديثا كثيرا أنساه. قال: ابسط رداءك. فبسطته، قال: فغرف بيديه ثم قال: ضمه. فضممته، فما نسيت شيئا بعده.
