I came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "I saw in a dream, in my house, or my room, one of your limbs."He said, "Fatimah, Allah willing, will give birth to a boy, and you will nurse him."So Fatimah gave birth to Hasan, and she handed him over to me, and I nursed him with the milk of my son Qutham. One day I brought him to the Prophet ﷺ to visit him, and the Prophet ﷺ took him and placed him on his chest. The boy then urinated on his chest, and the urine soaked his lower garment. I struck his shoulders with my hand.He said, "You have hurt my son, may Allah set you right," or he said, "may Allah have mercy on you."I said, "Give me your garment so I may wash it."He said, "The urine of a Jariya is to be washed, but the urine of a boy is only to be sprinkled with water."
Ahmad (26878) narrated it from Affan, who said, Wahib told us, Ayub told us, from Salih Abu Khalil (who is Ibn Abu Maryam Basri), from Abdullah bin Harith, from Umm Fadl, and he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih.Abu Dawud (375) and Ibn Majah (522) narrated the story of the boy's urine with a hasan chain of transmission, as mentioned earlier in the chapter on purification.
