The Prophet ﷺ said, "I saw a large flock of black sheep, and a large flock of white sheep entered among them."They asked, "How do you interpret it, Messenger of Allah?"He replied, "The non-Arabs will share with you in your religion and your lineage."They asked, "The non-Arabs, Messenger of Allah?"He said, "If faith were suspended at the Pleiades, men from among the non-Arabs would reach it, and the most fortunate of people with it would be them."
قال النبي ﷺ: رأيت غنما كثيرة سوداء، دخلت فيها غنم كثيرة بيض قالوا: فما أولته يا رسول الله؟ قال: العجم يشركونكم في دينكم وأنسابكم قالوا: العجم يا رسول الله؟ قال: لو كان الإيمان معلقا في الثريا لناله رجال من العجم، وأسعدهم به الناس.
Hakim narrated it (4/395) from Abu Husayn Ahmad bin Uthman bin Yahya Bazzar, who said, "Abbas bin Muhammad Duri narrated to us, Hashim bin Qasim narrated to us, Abdul-Rahman bin Abdullah bin Dinar narrated to us, from Zayd bin Aslam, from Ibn Umar," and he related it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Abdul-Rahman bin Abdullah bin Dinar, for there is disagreement about him, though his hadith is hasan. As for Hakim, he said it is sahih according to the criterion of Bukhari.A note of caution, in the printed edition of Al-Mustadrak it appears as "Abdul-Rahman, from Abdullah bin Dinar," but the correct reading is "Abdul-Rahman bin Abdullah bin Dinar," as found in Ithaf Mahra (8/324).Something similar was narrated from Abu Ayub, found in Hakim (4/395), where the wording comes through Abu Bakr, except that the version preserved as sound is the mursal one, as Daraqutni said in Al-Ilal (80).
