He heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "Whoever sees me in a dream has truly seen me, for Satan cannot take my form."
سمع النبي ﷺ يقول: من رآني فقد رأى الحق، فإن الشيطان لا يتكونني.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Dream Interpretation (6997) from Abdullah bin Yusuf, who said, Layth narrated to us, Ibn Hadi narrated to me, from Abdullah bin Khabab, from Abu Saeed Khudri, and he related it.As for what has come in some narrations from Abu Saeed, "Satan cannot take my form, nor the form of the Kaaba," this is not sahih. Tabarani narrated it in al-Awsat (Majma al-Bahrayn, 3214), and its chain includes a narrator whose status is unknown, as well as one described as making many errors.
