The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you sees in his dream something he dislikes, let him spit lightly to his left three times and seek refuge with Allah from what he saw."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: إذا رأى أحدكم منامه ما يكره فلينفث عن يساره ثلاثا، و ليستعذ بالله مما رأى.

Nasai narrated it in his Kubra (10675), and Tabarani in his Kabir (23/260), both from the hadith of Abu Salih Makki Muhammad bin Zanbur, who said, Fudayl bin Iyad narrated to us, from Amash, from Abu Salih, from Abu Salama, from Umm Salama, and he related it.Its chain of transmission is hasan on account of Muhammad bin Zanbur Makki, for he is hasan al-hadith. Abu Hamza Sukkari and Abu Zubayd Abthar bin Qasim also narrated it from Amash in the same manner, but as a stopped narration (mawquf). Nasai recorded their versions in his Kubra (10676, 10677). However, the raising of it to the Prophet contains an addition from a trustworthy narrator, namely Fudayl bin Iyad, whom Nasai, Daraqutni, and others have affirmed as trustworthy.
