The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to take Umm Sulaym and other women from the Ansar with him on his military expeditions. They would give water to the soldiers and tend to the wounded.
كان رسول الله ﷺ يغزو بأم سليم ونسوة من الأنصار معه إذا غزا، فيسقين الماء ويداوين الجرحى.
