The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever eats seven Ajwa dates each morning will not be harmed that day by poison or sorcery."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من تصبح كل يوم سبع تمرات عجوة لم يضره في ذلك اليوم سم ولا سحر.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Foods (5445), and Muslim in the Book of Drinks (2047:155), both through Marwan bin Muawiya Fazari, who said, Hashim bin Hashim informed us, who said, Amir bin Saad informed us, from his father, and he mentioned it. The wording given is that of Bukhari, and Muslim referred it back to the hadith of Abu Usama, from Hashim, in the same manner, except that it does not contain the phrase "every day." As for the word "ajwa," it refers to the finest and most prized variety of dates from Madinah.
