The Prophet ﷺ said, "In the black seed is a cure for every disease except death."
قال النبي ﷺ: في الحبة السوداء شفاء من كل داء إلا السام.
Tabarani reported it in Kabir (1/153) from Abdullah bin Ahmad bin Hanbal, who said, Surayj bin Yunus narrated to us, from Muttalib bin Ziyad, from Ziyad bin Alaqa, from Usama bin Sharik, and he related it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Muttalib bin Ziyad, who is the son of Abu Zuhayr Thaqafi, hasan al-hadith.Haythami said in Majma (5/88), "Tabarani reported it in Awsat, and its narrators are trustworthy."I say, I did not find it in the printed edition of Mujam al-Awsat, nor among its supplementary additions, so perhaps this was a slip of the pen.
