I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "If there is any good in your remedies, it lies in a drink of honey, a cut by the cupper's blade, or a cauterization by fire, though I do not like to be cauterized."
سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول: إن كان في شيء من أدويتكم خير، ففي شربة من عسل، أو شرطة محجم، أو لذعة بنار، وما أحب أن أكتوي.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Medicine (5702), and Muslim in the Book of Greetings (2205:71), both through Ibn Ghasil, who said, Asim bin Umar told me, from Jabir bin Abdullah, who mentioned it. The wording given is Bukhari's, and Muslim's version has a story at the beginning.
