The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "You hear from me, and others will hear from you, and others still will hear from those who heard from you."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: تسمعون ويسمع منكم، ويسمع ممن سمع منكم.
Abu Dawud (3659) narrated it through Jareer, from Amash, from Abdullah bin Abdullah, from Saeed bin Jubayr, from Ibn Abbas, and he related it. Its chain is hasan because of Abdullah bin Abdullah Abu Jafar, the judge of Rayy, who is truthful.Ibn Hibban (62) and Hakim (1/95) graded it sahih, both narrating it through this same route, and Hakim said, "It is sahih according to the criteria of the two Shaykhs, and it has no defect." But this is not correct, for Abdullah bin Abdullah the judge is not among the narrators of the two Shaykhs, rather it was the compilers of the Sunan who narrated from him.
