The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever has himself cauterized or seeks a ruqyah has dissociated himself from reliance upon Allah."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من اكتوى أو استرقى فقد برئ من التوكل.
It was narrated by Tirmidhi (2055), Ibn Majah (3489), and Ahmad (18180), and Ibn Hibban (6087) and Hakim (4/415) both graded it sahih, all of them by way of Mujahid, from Aqqar bin Mughira bin Shuba, from his father, who related it. Its chain is hasan because of Aqqar bin Mughira, for his hadith is hasan. Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan sahih hadith."The meaning of the hadith is that whoever makes ruqya a cause of healing, forgetting that it is Allah who is the Healer, has done wrong.
