The Prophet ﷺ said, "There is no believing servant who does not have a sin he commits from time to time, or a sin he persists in and does not part with until he departs from this world. The believer was created prone to trial, frequently repenting, forgetful, but when reminded, he remembers."
عن النبي ﷺ قال: ما من عبد مؤمن إلا وله ذنب يعتاده الفينة بعد الفينة، أو ذنب هو مقيم عليه، لا يفارقه حتى يفارق، إن المؤمن خلق مفتنا توابا نسيا إذا ذكر ذكر.

Tabarani reported it in Kabir (11/304), from Husayn bin Abbas Razi, who said, Ahmad bin Abu Siraj Razi told us, who said, Ali bin Hafs Madaini told us, who said, Ubayd Muktib Kufi told us, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, who related it.Its chain is hasan because of Ali bin Hafs Madaini, for he is truthful. The hadith has another route in Tabarani's Kabir (10/342) and in Awsat (Majma Bahrayn 4722), though there is some criticism regarding it. Haythami pointed to this in Majma (10/201), saying, "Tabarani related it in Kabir and Awsat in abridged form, and one of the chains in Kabir has narrators who are trustworthy."
