Abu Hurairah reported,

While the Prophet ﷺ was in a gathering speaking to the people, an Arabi came and asked, "When is the Hour?"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ continued speaking. Some of the people said, "He heard what the man said but disliked what he said." Others said, "Rather, he did not hear him."When he finished his discourse, he said, "Where is the one who asked about the Hour?"The man said, "Here I am, Messenger of Allah."He said, "When trust is squandered, then await the Hour."The man asked, "How is it squandered?"He replied, "When authority is entrusted to those unfit for it, then await the Hour."
