Tirmidhi narrated it (3591), and Ibn Hibban (960) and Hakim (1/532) graded it sahih, all of them through routes from Abu Usama, who said, "Masaar narrated to us, from Ziyad bin Alaqa, from his uncle," and he mentioned it. The wording is Hakim's. Its chain of transmission is sahih.Ziyad bin Alaqa's uncle is Qutba bin Malik, one of the companions of the Prophet ﷺ.Hakim said, "This is a hadith with a sahih chain of transmission according to the criterion of Muslim."Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan gharib hadith," because he narrated it through the route of Sufyan bin Waki, from Abu Usama, with the same wording. Sufyan is daif, but he has been corroborated.As for what was narrated from Abu Hurairah, who said that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to supplicate, saying, "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from discord, hypocrisy, and bad character," its chain of transmission is daif.Abu Dawud narrated it (1546), and Nasai (5471), both of them from Amr bin Uthman, who said, "Baqiyya narrated to us, who said, 'Dabara bin Abdullah bin Abu Sulayk narrated to us, from Duwayd bin Nafi, who said, Abu Salih Samman narrated to us, who said, Abu Hurairah said,'" and he mentioned it.Dabara bin Abdullah bin Malik bin Abu Sulayk Hadrami, also called Alhani, was mentioned by Ibn Hibban in Thiqat, who said, "His hadith is to be considered when narrated by trustworthy narrators from him." Ibn Adi mentioned him in Kamil, and cited six objectionable hadiths from him. Ibn Qattan said, "Unknown."
