The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When Allah intends good for a servant, He grants him understanding of the religion and inspires him with right guidance."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: إذا أراد الله بعبد خيرا فقهه في الدين، وألهمه رشده.
Bazzar narrated it in Kashf Astar (137), from Fadl bin Sahl, from Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Ayub, from Abu Bakr bin Ayyash, from Abu Waail, from Abdullah, and he related the hadith. Bayhaqi narrated it in Madkhal (354) by this same route, except that he inserted Amash between Abu Bakr bin Ayyash and Abu Waail. Tabarani narrated it (10445) from Abdullah bin Ahmad bin Hanbal, from his father, from Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Ayub, with the same chain, except that he did not mention in it, "and inspired him with his right guidance."Bazzar said, "We do not know of it being narrated from Abdullah except by this route."I say, its isnad is hasan, on account of Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Ayub, for he is truthful. I did not find this hadith in the Musnad in the places where it would be expected, and likewise Ibn Hajar did not mention it in Atraf Musnad Mutaali bi Atraf Musnad Hanbali, so perhaps it is found in another of his works.
