The Prophet ﷺ borrowed forty thousand from me. When some wealth came to him, he handed it over to me and said, "May Allah bless you in your family and your wealth. The reward for a loan is only gratitude and repayment."
استقرض مني النبي ﷺ أربعين ألفا، فجاءه مال فدفعه إلي، وقال: بارك الله لك في أهلك، ومالك، إنما جزاء السلف الحمد والأداء.
Narrated by Nasai (4683) and Ibn Majah (2424), both from the hadith of Ismail bin Ibrahim bin Abdullah bin Abu Rabia Makhzumi, as mentioned above. Its chain is hasan because of Ismail bin Ibrahim, who is Ibn Abdul-Rahman bin Abdullah, and his father, for it is because of both of them that the hadith is hasan.As for Ismail, a number of narrators transmitted from him, and Abu Dawud and Ibn Hibban deemed him trustworthy, while Abu Hatim said, "A shaykh." As for his father Ibrahim, Ibn Hibban mentioned him in Al-Thiqat, and Ibn Khalfun said, "A well-known trustworthy narrator," and Bukhari cited him in his Sahih.
