The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The wind comes from the mercy of Allah, bringing both mercy and punishment. Do not curse it, but ask Allah for its good and seek refuge in Allah from its evil."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: الريح من روح الله، تأتي بالرحمة والعذاب فلا تسبوها، ولكن سلوا الله من خيرها، وتعوذوا بالله من شرها.
It was narrated by Abu Dawud (5097), Ibn Majah (3727), Ahmad (7413), Bukhari in Adab al-Mufrad (720), and Nasai in Amal al-Yawm wal-Layla (931–932). Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (1007), and so did Hakim (4/285). All of them narrated it through various chains from Zuhri, who said, "Thabit bin Qays Zurqi told me," he said, "I heard Abu Hurairah say," and then he related the hadith.Hakim said, "This is a hadith sahih in its chain, meeting the criteria of the two Shaykhs."Its chain is sahih, though it does not meet the criteria of the two Shaykhs, for Thabit bin Qays Zurqi was not narrated from by the two Shaykhs. Bukhari narrated from him only in Adab al-Mufrad, and he is trustworthy.
